The Snail Garden
By the Élővíz Canal (Living Water Canal) is stretching out the biggest green area of the city on a land of about 3.5 hectares, declared a natural park in the meantime. It was named The Snail Garden because of the artificially created hill you can climb and descend on, in a spiral path. You can wander on the paved paths and admire the nature and its ancient trees or you can rest on one of the parks’ benches. Some trees here are over 300 years old and in the summer here are officiated weddings, under the roof of the pavilion situated in front of the marble sculpture representing Empress Sissy.
