The Mályvád Oak Forest is secular one, over 1000 m² area and it’s now under
national natural and environment protection. It is the second largest forest in the
Great Sothern Plains Region. Wildlife is present in large numbers, having one of
the most populated wildlife reserves in Hungary and its secular oaks attract many
tourists’ and people fond of hiking and outdoor excursions. The Mályvád Forest is
bordering the woods on the margins’ of Békés County and by nice weather you can
have a glimpse over the Blue Mountains of Biharia.
