The Kisökörjárás Forest, which is one of the finest green areas in Gyula, has a rich biodiversity and is very popular with locals and visitors alike. The Fairy Forest Trail was created by the Green Hearts Association in 2021. The traihead is at Thermal Campsite in Szélső Street, a 10-minute walk from the castle. The trail ends at the dam. On the trail there are 8 interpretive panels showcasing the diversity of the forest and highlighting good forest manners.
