An old dream of the Várkonyi family came true when they opened their restaurant in the centre of Gyula. True to their credo, they combine the flavours of rich Hungarian culinary traditions with the highest expectations of contemporary cuisine. Most of the ingredients they use are supplied by farmers in the area, which is the key to ensure that the dishes they serve are impeccable.
Várkonyi Bistro and Bar has been ranked as one of the „top -50 most affordable restaurants” twice in a short period of time, and has been featured in the Gault&Millau guide.
