Wenckheim Castle, Szabadkígyós

The Szabadkígyós Wenckheim Castle, which is surrounded by beautiful gardens, was built in the Neo-Renaissance/Eclectic style according to the plans of the famous architect, Miklós Ybl. It is one of the most well-known landmarks in the Körös-Maros National Park. The exhibition at the Wenckheim Castle centres around genuine narratives of local history and anecdotes with heroes speaking in their personal voices. The visitors are transported into a magical world where interactivity is a crucial element. Walking into the building through the elegant main entrance, visitors can feel as though they are the guests of the Wenckheim family. At the ticket office, which is in the foyer of the castle, interactive resources are available. Visitors can use terminals to enter their names in the guest book and print their own personalised business card.
