András Stéberl was the pioneer of large-scale meat processing and sausage production, and the creator of the Gyulai sausage, which is protected by industrial property rights. He won a gold medal with his product at the 1935 World Exhibition in Brussels.
His full-figure statue stands next to the Evangelical Church.
